For the Minimizing Game Day 22, I am getting rid of 22 red, plastic counters. Yes, I counted the counters. I am still struggling to finish out the MinsGame, and today my dog woke up with a terrible limp (got a vet appointment in an hour), so I’m just going with this.
For the Minimizing Game Day 21, I cleaned out the junk drawer in my kitchen. This is more than 21 items, but some are sauce packets, so….
Every time I do this MinsGame, there comes a day when I think I have nothing else to get rid of. That day came today, and I probably wouldn’t have been able to finish if it weren’t a weekend. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
For the Minimizing Game Day 20, I cleaned out my kids bookcase and got rid of 20 books that are too low a level for my younger son and 1 workbook that’s already completed.
For the Minimizing Game Day 19, I went through some books and magazines that ended up in paper recycling. There were also some books that would not go in recycling, but I accidentally packed those away for the charity shop before taking this photo.
Also note that I don’t now, nor have I ever, subscribed to the magazine Parents. Yet I’ve been getting this magazine for more than two years. The name on it is Jamie Gold, but it has my address. I called the magazine to complain, but they said only Jamie Gold can cancel. So if you’re reading this, Jamie Gold, please cancel your subscription.
For the Minimizing Game Day 18, I performed the biannual task of cleaning the garden shed. As usual, I removed a much of stuff, most of which was dirty, which is why I didn’t take a photo. Instead, I include a photo of Ziggy as a puppy in the yard last fall.
For the Minimizing Game Day 17, I went through my kids’ art drawer and got rid of the odds and ends shown in the photo above.
For the Minimizing Game Day 16, I cleaned out a drawer in my room and a drawer in the kitchen. Highlights include a “calming” cat collar that lasted about 30 minutes and a dirty sponge my son said he named Mr Cheese but agreed to get rid of, since I mentioned that the dog would probably eat it and get very sick.
For the Minimizing Game Day 15, I went through a drawer in the kids’ room and got out some rocks (?) and other assorted nonsense.
For the Minimizing Game Day 14, I cleaned out a drawer and got rid of hairpins that always pull my hair out and 9 pairs of earrings that turned my ears green.
For the Minimizing Game Day 13, I went through a box I hadn’t opened in 11 years. I know this because I made these very, very small dice bags for a party I had just after my older son was born. Crazy that I still have these totally useless dice, that, in retrospect I know should not be around a baby.
